Yoga Studio was started by Shakti O'Melveny, an authentic Ashtanga Yoga Instructor.
Our beautiful atmosphere prompted other instructors and personal trainers to seek out the
ability to lease space and teach their students in the space. Due to popular request, Shakti
changed the name of her business from Mysore Ashtanga Yoga (MAY Yoga) to Yoga Studio,
and decided to lease space to a personal trainer. Later, Shakti decided to create a new
business, YogaBoga, which provides authentic Ashtanga Yoga with early morning Mysore
style practice. YogaBoga also allows other yoga instructors the opportunity to start their own
business without the enormous risk and time involved in starting a new studio entirely. The
space is also available to Personal Trainers and others.
